A charred bagel, some cup rinsing, the suggestion of an involuntary bowel movement and ... a 400lb bear!!!
But despite it all, the Legend lives on. Awesome!

Welcome to the Animal Disco – a blog that's been in the pipeline since before such an activity was even invented.
Here you'll find a selection of the rambles, rants, observations and even diary entries (names have been changed to protect the not-so-innocent) that assemble to represent my life. Some of these entries were published in Bristol and Bath's entirely yummy Venue magazine (which rather unfortunately 'celebrated' its last ever issue in May 2011), while others have been lying around in notebook form for two decades. Many, though, will be brand new – I finally have somewhere I can officially dump my emotional clutter. So, read, enjoy, share, and tell me what you think at your leisure, but ignore at your peril – above all, life at the Animal Disco is intended to be fun.

Life in the Animal Disco is getting better and better! Please can we have more regular updates tho'? The photo is good - she looks like this, AND she writes like that? Where else are you published apart from Venue (we don't get that in CA and there isn't very much on the website).
Hi Anonymous, and thanks for the compliments! I'm afraid I have indeed been a bit slow updating the blog since I started it, as I've been snowed under with work. However, I fully intend to let the good times roll much more regularly in the future! I'm not really published in many other publications apart from Venue, which is a regional magazine covering the South West of England. So, you'll have to make do with regular visits to The Animal Disco until that situation gets sorted out! I'm flattered that you found my stuff, though. May I ask how you came across this blog in sunny California? Cheers!
